At The Big Local PAC, we believe that real change starts at the local level. Whether it’s your school board, library board, city council, or county commission, the decisions made by local leaders impact your daily life — from the quality of your child’s education to the books available at your public library, the condition of your neighborhood streets, and the protection of local green spaces.
That’s why we’re here: to support everyday people who want to make a difference by running for local office. Most candidates in local races are first-timers — passionate about their communities, but unsure of how to start or run a campaign. On top of that, they often can’t afford to hire professional staff or consultants. That’s where we come in.
We support authentic, passionate, community-focused individuals who are guided by their values. Our candidates believe in equity and inclusion, the freedom to read, and the importance of public education. They care about building sustainable communities, ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and protecting the democratic principles that hold us together. These are not career politicians — they are neighbors, teachers, parents, librarians, and advocates who want to serve with integrity and heart.
The Big Local PAC supports free and low-cost campaign consulting services tailored specifically for local races. We work with experienced campaign consultants who will guide our candidates through every step of the process — from building a message and creating a campaign plan, to outreach, fundraising, and voter engagement strategies. Our goal is to demystify the campaign process and set our candidates up for success.
Supporting local candidates isn’t just about today’s elections. It’s about building a pipeline of dedicated, community-rooted leaders for tomorrow. When we help new voices rise in local government, we help shape a better future — one school, one library, one city at a time.
Local leadership matters. We're here to help it grow. Because small races have big consequences.
